Dancing the Sensual Soul

This community based work deepens trust, presence and innovation in the body combining roots from Ballet, West African Dance, Yoga, Pilates, Middle Eastern Dance, Sufi Dance Meditation, the Chakra System and Sexual Shamanic Cultivation.
Sessions include a combination of:
~ relaxing into the Earth through a supple spine and breath
~ fluid yoga to open the joints and chakras
~ rocking, spiraling, and vocal toning to nourish and rejuvenate
~ deep efficient core strength and focus on our current life intention
~ standing vibrations and rhythms in the basin of the pelvis
~ freedom on balance, freedom off balance: standing, falling, leaping
~ living inside a choreographed movement combination
~ movement meditation: giving ourselves over to an improvised dance
~ deep stillness and heart centered integration
~ closing circle
The depth and pace of class is best suited for bodies with a regular movement and
meditation practice looking for more depth. This work offers a powerful reintegration and spiritual context for "trained" dancers.
